Availability of AAA rates?

We are planning a trip for my birthday and my youngest son's birthday May 2004.

My husband wants to wait to make the room reservations until after December, because his company has a history of letting people go just before Christmas.

Do you think that is too late to wait to get AAA discounts at the Contemporary or POR?

You can make the reservation, put down a deposit ($100 or 1 night) and get a refund if you have to cancel (up to 5 days before arrival).

I'd go ahead and book it now for the AAA rate. Last February we booked for September and tried to have the AAA rate applied but there were no rooms left at the AAA rate. So if it's available, go ahead and book it; you can always cancel later if you need to.

I would go ahead and book now. I just called yesterday for AAA rates for CR in November and got them and for the Poly in April of 2004 and got them too. I think the savings was just over 10 percent at both resorts.
