Availability in October, can someone help????

I might have an opportunity to buy points from a family member. I can only go in October. Can someone check to see if ANY of the DVC's have availability? I would appreciate it so much. My family member can't get online to check until sometime this weekend and the suspense is killing me.

You can check availablity for DVC online, the member has to call DVC member services and they are already closed for the day.

Also even if you check and find something which is highly unlikely for October by the time someone reports back to you, it will more than likely be gone.

Sorry, but you are just going to have to wait until the member can call.

Sammie meant to type that you can't check online. Members have to call Member Services during the hours they are open to check availability; it's the only way.

Thank you. I quess I have no choice but to be patient. If something is available then it was meant to be. If not, then I quess I was meant to save the money.

Perhaps you are correct but there have been multiple posts on these boards by folks who have found NO availability at any DVC on points for some dates in October. Of course availability changes minute to minute, so here's hoping that the OP gets lucky.

No availability anywhere for the 19th - 21st in a studio or a 1 bedroom. I know that isn't one of your weeks, but even SSR had no availability weeks ago when I started trying to extend my reservation by 2 nights. You will probably have to get lucky and catch a cancellation. Your family member will have to call pretty regularly for you.

No studio availability on the 23rd. Only a few 1 beds at ssr and that is it. We are on a wait list. Called again today just to check.

Asking what is available for such a last minute reservation is really fruitless. What is there one minute, is gone the next or vice versa. You won't know if anything is there until your family calls to reserve for you.

My WL for OKW just came through, so I know there is (or was as of this morning) room at SSR for 3 nights in a 2BR in October. You never know what will be available until you (well, the owner of the points) calls Member Services. Good Luck.

Now if only my WL for BWV would come through, that would be wonderful.

Yep, lots of reports where sporadic days have no availability....you have to remember with food and wine, DVC bookings seem to increase.

Member Services is open daily 9AM to 5PM (Eastern Time). Get your family member to call.

All of the moderates (except the Pirate rooms at CBR) and most of the deluxe hotel rooms are sold out as well during those dates. I'm renting points from a friend and on the waiting list for a 1BR at SSR for the 20th. If it doesn't come through, I guess we're back at Pop.

Partial successCheck in on 9/28-10/1 and then check back in on 10/3-10/7. Waitlisted for the 1st and 2nd. It's more than I hoped for. Oh yah, it's a studio at SSR

It is full 9-30 and 10-1...the only room available was a GV (which I booked)....pretty much the entire DVC was full, I could not get two rooms at any resort. Now, this was a last minute booking, just booked about 3 weeks ago.

I was actually shocked when MS told be there was nothing at all available for Oct 8th "not even Saratoga Springs" he said! I am waitlisted for BCV...so glad I have my Kidani to fall back on!
