Autotrain question

For everyone that has taken the auto train and brought a car with you:

Have you had any damage to your vehicle? We are planning to take the train in August and we have a brand new car. I read a review on yelp that said they had quite a bit of damage to their car, so I just want to get some feedback from my DIS friends!

I've used the Auto Train twice and have a third trip booked later this year. I've had no damage at all on the first two trips.

AT attendants walk around the car when you check in. The exterior is filmed to document the condition of the exterior, including any damage that may already be there (dents, dings, scratches, etc.) before it's loaded on the train in case there is a claim of damage later.

And regarding the beginning of your question, "For everyone that has taken the auto train and brought a car with you:..." you can't make a reservation or board the AT unless you have some type of vehicle.

This will be our first trip & the way you have to book your fare I didn't realize that a vehicle was required. But thanks for the info!
