I have seen free upgrades mentioned so much lately. Is it because January is a very quiet month?

We are booked for a standard room in the DLH 13-17th March what are the chances of being offered an upgrade to Castle Club (a girl can hope right ;) ). Or if we decided to pay additional for CC on our arrival day would they let us do this?

Yes I think the LOW SEASON is the answer to the upgrade questions. they wont upgrade in July when the hotels have booking rates around 80%! But you can ask to pay the difference between the standard room and the CC room. And if a C room is available I don't see a problem!

By the way does someone know how many CC rooms are available at the DLH? :confused3

You can but ask when you book in, and as has been said potential to upgrade would depend of room occupancy :)

Thank you:) I think we will at least ask - nothing to lose right?

BTW I am fast becoming addicted to this board :teeth:

I agree, you can but ask. :thumbsup2 Good luck pixiedust:

And yes, once upon a time I had a life..........before I discovered the DIS! :lmao:

So whats the chances of swinging an upgrade to DLH castle club from good ol Cheyenne? LOL :rotfl2:

Funny you should say that... after all the talk of upgrades here recently I am secretly hoping we get bumped up anywhere but the Cheyenne where we are booked into (because it was the cheapest option at the time!) pixiedust:

I think I'm the one dreaming :rotfl:

Well I had a letter today saying that there will be refurbishments taking place in the hotel from Monday to Friday (the days that we are there) from 9am-6pm. We were not told this when we changed our booking 3 weeks ago (originally going to Explorers) not too happy about that!!

Actually I loved the Cheyenne (style and theming can't be faulted) and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, I wasn't so keen on the Santa Fe, not sure why.
When we were arranging our next visit I was planning that we'd stay at the DLH (special treat as we'll be celebrating 2 birthdays and a wedding anniversary) but when it came to booking it was a choice between 4 days at the DLH or 6 days at the NPB with some cash left over. Couldn't have the GMF breakfast at the NY so it ruled that hotel out for us.
The NPB won and the left over money paid for 2 days of Character Breakfasts :yay:

Mind you I won't be turning down a free upgrade if offered :rolleyes1

While we can live with the cowboy theme, it's really not our scene, so I'd be very happy to be moved elsewhere... :teeth:

On a seperate note, my son purchased a photo frame in the shape of a clapperboard from the little shop on the entrance to MGM and unfortunately I broke it by accidentally standing on it! Sadly it is only available at Disneyland Paris so if you or anyone is going there I would be most appreciated if you could get in touch as I am desperate to replace it for him.

Regards

If anyone would like to help with this, it's probably best to answer on this thread.

I too love the Cheyenne, the way it is all set out and the feel of the place is great and would only accept a free upgrade to HNY or DLH.
Kevankiki, you will love the Cheyenne, even if cowboys is not your thing, it soon maybe! I agree the themeing and style can't be faulted!

I'm sure you are right :goodvibes

Does anyone know why the Cheyenne is not featured on the Disneyland Paris Hotel FAQ Threads BTW?

It's on the To Do list along with the Davy Crockett Ranch. At least one will be progressed by the end of the month :thumbsup2
