I'm being lazy:) I don't want to give up my lunch break tomorrow trying to get through to MS! So maybe not lazy, just a pig! Anyway... does anyone know what day of the month dues come out of your checking account if you do the monthly automatic payment? This is our first year for this, I just take it out of the checkbook at the beginning of the month, but I am curious.

Thanks!
Jennifer

mine comes out first day of the month.

I was actually thinking about the opposite... to pay each year's payment off manually. I get charge for each transaction from my bank, so I think it'll be cheaper for me to pay off once a year.

Our auto-deduction of dues is also on the 1st of the month, except every January (new calendar year) when it's on or about the 15th, not the 1st.

You have the choice of the 1st or 15th. In January, everyone is the 15th.

Jennifer,

This was our first year also and I had to double-check myself by looking at the docs I had at home. I had received a letter from MS with that info on it. Maybe you did too?

Also, I wanted to say Hi to another DVC member from KY. We live in Elizabethtown. So we are DVC neighbors and KY neighbors!!!

:D

Yes, it is either the 1st or the 15th. I had a thread a couple months ago about if you have monthly debit on dues, could you pay the full amount due for the year. I ended up calling MS and found out that you can. You could even make a partial payment toward your yearly dues and they credit your account and continue taking the monthly amount out until it is paid in full for the year, then the debits would start in January again. The monthly is very convenient, but our bank does not charge a fee, then I would view it differently. If you also hold your DVC mortgage through Disney, you must specify if you want the extra payment applied toward dues, or your mortgage.

Our dues are deducted on the 15th of the month - like clock work! At the suggestion on our financial institution, the dues are deducted from our checking account. We have never had a problem with our dues being deducted - thank you DVC accounting!

We just started this beginning in January. Strange thing was that they took two payments out in Feb. Sounds like a call to MS is needed!
