Has anyone used a pillowcase for autographs at the parks. Thinking of doing this on our upcoming grip in 4 fays

We tried to use a bag one year and were surprised how inconvenient it was. You had to have something to lay it on for them to sign and it felt like a lot of juggling. Of course, we had two kids that each wanted to get a signature, so I'm sure it's easier with just one.

Lots of people do it and love it, we just did not. We ended up just going and buying autograph books after a while.

I haven't but I saw some one a while back posted about using a hoop that you would do needlepoint with.

We just get the kids a new hat and the characters sign that.

We did pillowcases a few years ago. I just got a small clipboard (probably 5x7 size) and put it inside each case. When we approached the character, I'd position the clipboard where DD wanted the autograph, and pulled the fabric tight around the clipboard.

I asked some of the "big head" characters if they'd like me to hold it for them. Some nodded yes, so I just held it tight wherever they wanted it. Some (like Pluto, I think), balanced the whole thing up on his nose to sign. :rotfl2: It was kind of a pain, but it worked, and DDs still love those souvenirs.

we are trying the pillowcases this time...we have 3 kids so I am imagining it might be a pain, but I did plan on bringing clipboards...mose of our characters will be at meals, so it might be easier...with less juggling..

those of you who have done the fabric things...do you use fabric markers?

I did get a fabric marker when we did the pillowcases. But my girls have a few t-shirts that have been autographed by our college volleyball and gymnastics teams using a regular Sharpie. DD has had one shirt for probably 3 years. It was way too big when she got it, so she sleeps in it. I would say she wears it about once a week, so it has easily been washed 100+ times. The signatures are starting to fade, but they are still legible. So I would think a Sharpie would be good enough, unless you truly want it to last forever!
