What does everyone do with their autographs once they get home? Do you make an autograph book or include them in your regular scrapbook?

I am making an autograph book for my daughter's 2nd trip that I am almost one with but I don't know what to do with the autographs from our most recent trip. Do I make her another autograph book or just let them collect dust somewhere?

I have some autographs from my trip to Disneyland last year that originally was going to put in my disney album but silly me didn't think far enough ahead when I made the autograph pages and made them rotating Red, Yellow and White Mickey head pages and of course the colors don't line up with the character pages I am making so I am unsure what to do with these now.

Looking forward to reading on what everyone else does with their autographs :)

Mine I just use plain white paper for the characters to sign - as I then scrap them into the rest of my book.

As a suggestion - perhaps setting it up so that pages can be added after (or leaving space for ahead of time) and then putting a picture in the autograph book of the child with the character next to the appropriate signature.

So you have a mini photo album with sigs that the child can keep for themselves. Print the photos slightly small or wallet size and even have them decorate the page that they will go on. Kind of a miniature starter scrapbook.

As for your pages - who says they don't go? Just put a thin border of cardstock in black or white (something neutral) and stick them on the page. ;) As long as it looks intended, no one will think anything of it.

my DD has ones with photos in them, so they are her own to look at!

I scan in the signature and add it to a picture with the character and my kids together, so it looks like the character "signed" their picture. Looks great on a scrapbook page. Message me if you would like to see a sample...I am not sure how to upload an image to here.:rotfl:

Cooz14 Ah, that sounds fun! I hadn't considered that - it would be pretty easy with my pages (dropping the white).

I did DS's as a 5 x 7 book, and plan to add the pictures of DS with the characters on the facing pages.

That will be DS's photo album from the trip. I have a few extra pages in the book, so I'll add a bit more photos.

Otherwise, I'll do a family trip scrapbook for the trip, and some pages for DD's album (since she's too young for an autograph book).

I make our autograph books and I keep them intact just as they are -- they sit on the shelf like another mini-album. :)

I scanned the autographs, resized and printed them to include on the page with the pictures of the characters signing them. I left the spiral part in the image so that it is obvious that it came from a book.

I got 9 inch Vinylmation Mickys signed on our last 2 trips ... bought a different color for each trip.

I've been thinking about the vinylmation but wondered how it would hold up. Did you use a sharpie marker? Any smuding issues?
Thanks!

I took a pack of multi-color Sharpies along with me on vacation -- I didn't see them for sale anywhere at the park. They've both held up fine. I carried it around in a plastic bag between signings and always held on to it for a minute or two after getting it signed. Never had trouble with smudging.

As you can see I had a lot of room left for more signatures. My husband thought we should take this one along on the next trip but I picked up a yellow one which I got signed on the next trip. I had been told by some people that the characters who signed with stamps wouldn't be able to sign it but Buzz did both times.

Lynn,

Thanks for the pics-it looks GREAT! I had a feeling that would work but my family didn't believe me. lol. I really like the idea of the different colored sharpies-I had not thought of that.

Thanks for sharing.

Well I'm glad I could prove you right. My husband was convinced that I should take this Mickey along on our next trip ... I felt differently and bought another one in yellow and used the different color sharpies again.
