I've seen old posts that say the characters cannot sign the blank vinylmations anymore. Does anyone have any recent experience with this? Thanks!

From what I've read it's dependent on the character, but people have gotten turned down due to the liability of characters dropping it. I was planning on doing this for my daughters birthday trip. She'll be disappointed if we can't bring it :(

I'm here at DLR and I just talked to one of the character hosts. She said they'll sign anything Disney.

Couldn't tell if you actually got yours signed by this post, so thought I would drop by and give another update. We haven't had any issues, Mickey seemed to have a slight issue signing and his signature isn't great, but no other characters had problems. Most CMs and other guest have comment it's a great thing to get signed or they haven't seen it before. Hoping to get some more signatures today! image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

Ah! That's great! When I went last week I hadn't received our vinylmation yet. We're staying at DLR in a couple weeks for my child's birthday. She will be thrilled! Have a great trip! Did you just use fine tip sharpies?

I used standard sharpies.

We have two Vinylmations full of signatures from a DCL cruise we did in 2012. A word of caution. Keep it in a very very sheltered area. Ours have never ever been in direct sunlight and yet the signatures still are fading rather terribly. :( One is a white vinyl and one is a red vinyl. The sigs have faded a lot more on the white than on the red. Sharpies were used to sign.

Thanks, that's rather disappointing
