I was just browsing through Pinterest and found a link that says if you drop off your kids' pillow cases, to Guest Services, at the beginning of your cruise, they will be autographed by the characters and given back to you at the end of your cruise. Any experience with this? :flower1:

More info I found: Create a one of kind souvenir signed by your favorite Disney characters. Bring whatever you would like signed (T-shirt, pillow case, autograph book, photo matte) along with some permanent markers to Guest Services on the first two days of your cruise, and it will be returned to your stateroom with all the Disney characters signatures. A couple of tips to personalize the experience: Bring a variety of colored markers to make your creation more colorful. You can customize the signatures, so you can choose to have a creation with only princesses or no princesses at all.

Yep, works great. Put a pillow case in a baggie with colored fabric markers, a note with your room # & name as well as if you want Princesses of Mickey & Friends to sign and a some candy for the "characters". You can two of these per stateroom. Drop off at Guest Services and the signed pillow cases will be returned to your room later in the cruise.

We have also done a Mickey china plate and photo mat for this - enjoy!

That is so cool! :mickeyjum

Yep, did this as the PP above mentioned and it turned out sooo cute! We provided the colors of sharpies we wanted used on the pillow cases and they did a great job of using them all and creating a really fun souvenir. We also provided a photo mat (be sure to indicate on a post it or on the back whether you want it signed for horizontal or vertical framing!) and some red and blue sharpies. We ended up with a really nautical looking frame for one of our family photos during the cruise. All our items were returned to our stateroom (along with original packaging and our markers) the last night of the cruise. It's a wonderful DCL perk!

On the recent Alaska cruise Guest Services directed us to go to Port Adventures and got passed along to three different people before we could drop teh pillowcases and Sharpies off. Eh, made it easier to get Elsa and Anna tickets since it was the same area.

I've heard that they only do this on certain length cruises. Can anyone say with certainty the required length of your cruise to participate?

I did this on a 7 night cruise. I'm not sure about shorter trips.

I dropped off a mat from a picture frame at guest services on our Alaska cruise this past week. I did not supply a sharpie. Our stateroom host returned it to our room on our last night all signed. I blocked off a small section on the bottom so they would not sign there. Going to add a Disney Wonder graphic/logo there and then put one of our favorite pictures from the cruise in it.

Cheers!

A lady in Michigan has made our pillowcases for the past two cruises, and she is in the process of making our third one now. Karen, from country customs on Etsy.com is wonderful to work with. Yes, you just drop off your pillowcase along with sharpie markers (in a freezer bag) at customers services on your first day of the cruise and they drop it back off to your room on the last night of the cruise. I would take out the yellow one as you can see in the picture it is hard to read. I have heard they only do two per stateroom as well. I guess you could always take one around with you and have the characters sign it. 487907_10200239930381817_1210724864_n.jpg

We were on a 3 night on the Dream and had something done, a soft back pack. It was returned on the last night.

Yep. We dropped our ff on day 2 and had it back the next day. We could choose the classic characters or the princess or both, so we went with both. Classics on one side and princesses on the other.

I am soooooooooooooooooooooo doing this!!!! :P

Warning: Do NOT give them a yellow marker. The yellow doesn't show up very well.

We did 2 pillow cases on our first cruise - 5 night Dream. I had bought a box of fabric markers from Hobby Lobby.
The next cruise (7 night), we had a black frame and sent a silver sharpie. BTW, I took the glass out, and just had the wood frame. Awesome!!

I need to come up with something for this next cruise.

Thanks that great to hear. We are doing a 5 night and was afraid it might not be long enough.

Good information. We are going in October and was making a princess pillowcase for my daughter, but I will have to make some Mickey ones for my sons!

Looks like Mickey made a liar out of me. I thought it was half and half but looks like they did all sign the same side. In any event, this is ours.

We were on a three night Dream cruise in June and received our items on the last night. We bought a white painted wood letter of our daughter's initials that you can hang on the wall from our local craft store. Left bright colored sharpies and a bag of candy, wooden letters turned out awesome!

Wait, you can only do 2 per stateroom? Oh man! We have three kids...

If you have 3 kids booked In your room they might make an exception and do a third for you. I asked them to do 3 once and they said if I had three kids booked in the room yes they will make an exception to the limit.
