Autograph question - is this doable??

Hercules and Meg signed the shirt my ds was wearing (it was a Hercules shirt, they thought it was cool!)... but, the same day, Stitch wasn't allowed to sign my other sons' Stitch shirt.

I think H being a "face" character had something to do with him signing the shirt.

At what age do you think kids would still be interested in having characters sign tshirts? My son is 10 and is losing some interest in the autograph book thing. On our next trip he will be 12-13 (and probably close to 5'8"). Do you think a child that old would want autographs? I wonder if he would feel silly standing in line with smaller children. He really is tall for his age.

When we went in 2002, the kids were 8, 11 and 12. I think the only time the older 2 did the autograph book thing was at Chef Mickey's. I thought the shirt idea was a neat "in between" thing....signing a shirt would be "cooler" than taking an autograph book. :D I can't see them bringing the shirt in with them to have them signed so I guess this idea will have to be scrapped. :sad1:

Heck, I'm grown and I still stand in line for autographs!

On our trip before last, my sister and I took Disney baseball caps and got signatures on those. They turned out very nice and we just wore them in between signings.

We also took lots of character photographs while getting the autographs. On our summer trip of the next year, we got a few of the better photographs enlarged to 5x7's and got the characters in the photos to sign them. They turned out great and are really neat, inexpensive momentos of our trip!

I can see the kids standing in line for photos, but not sure about the autographs (maybe the youngest who will be 10 this year). How can you get a hat signed? I mean, I get the gist of things, but doesn't the writing come out kind of scribbley??

No, they really didn't. You do have to be careful of who you have sign it...some characters need more room than others and some have more problems than others with signing. We got white caps that only had an emblen right on the front so we could have as much space as possible. For the most part I just folded it so the space I wanted them to sign on was exposed.

I got quite a few autographs on it........Chip, Dale, Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, Cinderella, Aladdin and a couple of others I can't recall at the moment. The characters do it all the time so I guess they get good at it.
