Autograph Cards

For this trip I'm planning to do autograph cards instead of albums. We are taking a smaller stroller and I don't want to be lugging three autograph books around with me. (I make my own with a spiral bound chipboard covered book that I add photos to later. They are pretty bulky).

With the cards, the characters will sign a card and it will be slid into a page protector with a photo and other embellishments when we get home. (Think "Project Life," if you're a scrapbooker).

Now to my question...

Most of the cards will be 3" x 4" and some will be 4" x 6." I'm planning to have lightweight clipboards with a flat clip for the characters to press on when they sign. Do you think this is feasible to clip the card to the board or just place it on the board for the characters to sign? I'm not sure it will be that different than signing a regular album, but I want to anticipate any problems before we are there...

Thanks in advance!

I think clipping it to the board would probably be best, so it doesn't move around. A lot of the characters have rather bulky hands and it might be awkward for them if it wasn't clipped in place.
