Autograph books

Everyone tells me that we need to get the kids autograph books. I know that they would just love that. Where do you get them and about how much are they?

If you are staying on property, you can buy one right away at your resort gift shop. Otherwise they are at all the park shops and usually on the kiosks, too. They run $5.

They are everywhere! Each park has a gift shop that's right outside the turnstiles, so while you are waiting in line to get in, send someone to purchase them. If you are staying onsite, all hotels have them in the giftshop or the Disney Florist can send them to your room with a few other Disney treats.

When you get them remember to get one of their fat pens or bring a sharpie. Make sure that if you buy the fat pens from them make sure that they write good, bought one years ago and it was hard to write with. I like taking the sharpies, they always work and now that they come in the click and close style I will like them more. Some of the characters have a hard time writing with small pens with their costumes.

This is kinda off topic but I really like this idea. When you have the character sign the book make sure they are all on separate sheets and only 1 to a page, (ie. have them all sign on the right side of the book), then take a picture of the kids with the character and then put the picture on the other page, so that when they are looking through the book later on when you get home, they will remember who signature it was. I hope I didnt confuse anyone with my ramblings.

I read somewhere that you can buy the books with a sleeve for a photo for each sig you get. How much are they? I don't see paying the extra money if you can just tape your photo in unless they don't cost a lot more.

I dont think that they do, the pages in the autograph book are a little thicker than normal. I dont remember having a problem with it. Anyone else???????

I looked and found this information that someone else had posted. If you want you can order anything that you would normally find in the park, including the autograph books, pens and anything else.

I bought one of the autograph books with the slots for pictures at disneyland and it was $12. It came with a pen. The main issue with the book was there were only pages for maybe 15 charachters to sign. You can get a lot more autographs in the small books.

If the smaller books are cheaper and have more pages I think that is the way to go. Thanks for all the great info.
No more than they cost I will let my little one pick it out at the park. That will make him feel better about the book after the trip is over ~ he will know he got to pick it out and that it came from the park - not ebay.

Please don't use a sharpie. The characters have big hands and sometimes the sharpie can make a mark on their glove/fur/outfit.

The smaller book have thin pages so don't use a sharpie on them. Just get a fat ballpoint pen when you're at the resort/gift shop. They sell fat and tall autograph pens for about $5 or just go to Walmart/Office Depot/Target and get one of these:

these are made by BIC and they're about $2.50 each. They're nice and fat and have a nice grip for the character to hold on to.

We actually have a big fat ball point with one of those clickers on top that you click to bring the point out. The charactures with thier big hands find it very easy to use.
