Do you find that kids like getting autographs of the characters?

Does anyone know how much the Disney Autograph books cost at the theme parks? Or is it better to bring your own with you before you arrive?

All the theme parks and resort gift shops sell them, they are around $6.00 or $7.00. My children enjoy getting autographs, especially at character meals. We usually check to see if the previous years is full then purchase a new one at the gift shop when we check inbefore heading to the parks. The year we waited, we missed out on a few autographs because we were unprepared. If your children or you are crafty you could make your own as well.

Our 4 y/o DS had an autograph book for our last trip, and he loved getting the autographs. He wouldn't have his picture taken with Cinderella or Jasmine, but he did let them sign his autograph book. He was previously afraid of some of the characters, but this time he was eager to go to them to get their autographs. It was well worth the $6 or $7 we spent.

And also, if you're somewhat older like me (I went to the Princess breakfast in Norway last time with my dad and my 18 year old best friend), you find if you're going to a character meal but don't want an autograph book persay, use postcards to have the characters sign. I have a very cool princess postcard with all the princesses signatures and it even hangs on my wall! It's a less expensive way than the autograph books and if you're a little older and don't want people to see you with an autograph book....;)

My kids (13 and 9) love getting authographs and pictures w/characters more than riding the rides. It makes a great souvenior too. And, they re-used the same books for two trips in a row. The only thing that had to be replaced was the "big" pen that is recommended, which is a great souvenior as well (about $3).:D

We just got back last week and my kids LOVED the autographs. We got some for my dd who stayed home nad didn't get nay when she went with grandma this summer. We got ours at the outlet mall for 2.99 each, exact same thing that is sold at the park!

We bought or 4yo son a book in 2002.. he loved getting autographs around the parks, we believe he ould never had approched a character if it wasn't for that reason. We did find he was not too fond of any of the "face" characters, only those in full fur ...

Another tip... On a second trip in 2003, we used the same un-filled book, I simply strapped the used pages with a band of paper, marked it 2002, and it opened to the new section each time, we still have lots of pages for the next trip... so one more band, marked 2003 and then we may get to fill the book.

Our daughter has been collecting autographs since she was six. Always tries to get new signatures each trip. Her upcoming project is to scan the autographs and add them to pictures she took with the characters to decorate her room.
