Autograph books - do you re-use?

Prob a silly question but all new to us really. Last yr we bought DD1 an autograph book - it is about 3/4 full. Do you use the same book on the next trip or buy a complete new one?

If you use the same, what do you do if you see a character whose autograph you already have - just shy away nicely after your photo? :rotfl2:

Actually, thinking about it, might just buy two new ones (one for DD2 this year too - she's only 1 but don't want her to miss out) :cutie:

We try to fill the blank pages with characters that we have not got yet :thumbsup2

We always buy new ones & start all over again. Then when we get home I print out a photo with the character & stick it into the autograph book for DD1 to take into school.

We don't re-use them, ours are mostly full esp Mia's, we tend to run after tha characters all the time as she like having lots of autographs. I remember at Easter last year, she had over 50 autorgraphs:cutie:

well our last trip i reused ashleighs one because she didnt really know the difference. she kept asking the same characters for an autograph but i didnt mind as long as she is happy lol. i got some funny looks of some cm and one even said you have goofy already and gave me a not very nice look lol. but ash was happy so i didnt care. i will just let her do what she wants till she knows the difference.

What are the official Disney books like, and how much are they? Can you get them in all the hotel shops before you get to the parks?

I try to be prepared as much as I can in advance, and tried to get hold of a Disney book before I go next month, but couldn't get one (the Disney stores don't do them anymore - a bit short sighted I think).

What I have done (in case we encounter any characters before I get a chance to buy a book) is bought a cheap autograph book from WH Smith, then covered it with some Disney stickers we had lying around the house, then finished it off with Alasdair's name in nice gold stickers. It actually looks quite good, and because it has all his favourite stickers on it, is highly personalised.

I will buy Kyra a new one, i think she has filled up her previous one (not sure) but she loves getting them to sign her book.

We use a new autograph book each time, DD loves looking through them. We often get more than 1 autograph from the same character but not at the same time.
eg at character meals we will have photos with the same charater more than once if they come round again but only 1 autograph. But 1 trip we had plutos autograph from: Lucky Nugget, Cafe Mickeys breakfast, Cafe Mickys dinner, Plaza Gardens and Sequoia Lodge.Only 2 pages left in the book that trip :)

We re-use ours until its full (or nearly).
We have lots of duplicate signatures, especially from the character meals.

The Disney ones (there are 2 sorts) are around 4 euros for the small size, and around 9 euros for the large ones (these have room on one page for the signature, and room on the opposite page for a photograph). You can buy them everywhere in the resort, in the hotel shops, in the Village, and in almost every shop in both parks. Don't forget to take a chunky pen (these can also be bought wherever you find autograph books at DLRP, they cost around 2 euros).

Have decided to buy a new one for her and one for DD1 - thanks for all the replies - nice to hear what others do :goodvibes
