Autograph book

Thank you so much for sending that file to me! After I get through my twins' birthday this next week, I will concentrate on getting that together and getting ready for our trip!

Question- did you just use regular card stock? Does that go through a laser printer okay? Also, where did you find the cute book? I have been looking everywhere for something Disney. I posted on the budget board and someone said that the Walmart in Orlando has stuff like that, but I can't wait that long! :lmao: I guess I could just get a plain one and cover it with stickers, but afraid that would look "tacky"!

Do the characters really 'talk' like their characters and all with the kids, or just sign and pose for pictures? I have only been one day and don't remember seeing any characters!

Also, do little boys (soon to be 4) like getting the autographs or is it more little girls? Just wondering!

Thanks for the wonderful idea! My son has a small photo book I made him from his first Wiggles concert that he still looks through constantly, I hope he (and siblings) like this just as much!

My son is 5 and a half and this past October was the 3rd trip where we did autographs. All the trips before we thought we were getting away with something by not doing them and now I wish I had. He LOVES the autographs. We've used the disney bought book each time but the second trip the binding broke so we pulled out the pages at home and put them in a photo album with pictures of each character. This past trip we planned that and did the same. Now we are going to make a book for next November's trip and he is so excited. Overall the characters interact well with the children - some better than others. My son is a power ranger fan and they are completely in character and sign the autogrpah then do a 'pose' with the child for pictures (the pink is the best at that with the kids).

If your children find they like the characters, chasing them for autographs can be a fun part of the trip that lasts forever when you get home.

We also just put together a separate photo album of 'all the characters he's seen in his whole life'. We have 100 pages filled, including Mickey in 13 different costumes. We now take a picture of a character even if we won't get through the line (keep in mind they need breaks and you may not get to them even if you are in line) and put it in the book. It's been fun to put together and he shows it to everyone!

Hope you have a fantastic trip!

I would love to see your pictures and autograph book as well. If you could possibly send the pdf and pics that would be great? dapowers@knology.net

Thank you for sending the file. Your work is great. I, however, am very "craft challenged" and decided against it. I did find something similar on ebay. If anyone is like me and thinks they are not organized enough to pull it off, try ebay.

After seeing the posts and looking on ebay I decided to try my hand at it. I had it bound at Kinkos and then will use the pages to make most of my scrapbook layouts when I come home. I also had Kinkos put a clear cover on it so my daughter could look through it and start to get excited. It was really easy. I used 8x8 paper and stickers. I found some fancy character stickers and used them on some pages If I couldn't find specific characters in the stores then I used clipart and printed them on sticker paper I got from my craft store. I inked the sides of the tags to give them some interest. I tied the fibers just on the tags the characters will sign. I even had my DD3 pick out the color fibers I used for each page.

Also, I am bringing extra tags in case we see a character that I didn't make a page for. I made 30 pages with the most popular characters.

We leave in 3 days!! I'll let you know how it goes with the book. I'll leave this link up for a while.

Having trouble posting a link because I am new. See how this goes:
