autograph book

I was planning on taking an autograph book and having the characters sign it so that I could give it to my child at the end of the cruise. I saw on a blog that they are discontinuing that as of Aug. 2015. Does anybody know about this? I'd rather do that than to take it with us everywhere for signatures.

You can't drop off items at Guest Services for signatures (to be returned to you at the end of the cruise) any longer. But you can have character sign stuff at the meet and greets. Just be aware that there a some characters that cannot easily hold a pen for signing and, therefore, you won't get those signatures.

I think the only characters that would not sign for us were Woody and Buzz.

I suggest bringing the clickable sharpies for character meet and greets to get signatures. I got that tip before our DW trip a few years ago, and it was a good one. The sharpies are fat and easier for the characters to hold when compared to a pen.

Will the characters only sign autograph books, or will they sign like say.... A plate or mug? Or things that normally would be dropped off.
It's so upsetting that they did away with that. I hadn't utilized it in many years, and now I finally moved out, I wanted a cute mug to have signed, now I can't.

I believe they sign just about anything, but i have heard they don't sign clothing you are currently wearing.
