Do you all do one per child or one for the whole family? I would like to make them for my kids but don't know what would work best.

I made one for each of my boys ages 3 & 4. The ones I made had room for photos, so each kid has a picture of them with the character and the autograph.

I know I will be making individual autograph books for my 3 kids when we go. I just don't think they would want to "share" and I really don't want to hear complaining while we are at WDW.

Books with rooms for pics sound really cool. How 'bout putting coordinating stickers on each page so the child would have to have "Mickey" sign on the page with Mickey stickers? Just a thought.

should these books be? I saw little 3x3 books at the craft store but maybe that's too small for some of the characters??

I was given Creative meories book for Christmas and I made a few pages up ahead of time with stickers so all the princesses could sign by their sticker. DS4 loves it. "he can read' the characters names. So any type of book would work and just have it open to correspond to the picture/sticker that you want to have placed there. Or make it ahead of time..
Although charcters that have 'hands' can write really big...

I made (or should I say we made) autograph books for our last trip. I bought the books from Big Lots. I let the kids decorate them with Disney stickers. When they were finished I covered them with clear contact paper. I didn't want the stickers to come off from the in and out of the backpack all day long. It really worked great. The kids were proud that they made there own books. Just remember to bring a Sharpie with you to the parks. The characters need a big pen to hold in their hands. I found that Sharpies work the best.

Can everyone the made their books post pictures? I love to scrapbook so this would be something I would be interested in doing for our 2 boys. I would like some pictures to work off of. Thanks.

Here is a link to my daughter's book. My son's is similiar, just not as complete as he does not want the princesses in his book, so I left the rest of the pages open to complete when we get home.

I will have the characters sign spiral card stock books that are 4 x 5 in size.

Be warned I posted 20 of the 21 pages in DD book, so I might take awhile to see them all. Buzz is very similar to Woody, just slightly different colors used.

Thank you for letting me see your pictures. This is helped give me ideas already!!! I'm actually going to the craft store tonight so I'll have to pick up some things to get started. I have tons of stickers and supplies so I should be fine just finding 2 books.

I don't have any pictures of the ones I made. What I did was take a 4x6 photo album you could add pages to and then hole punched and added card stock to the albums. The outside I covered with white contact paper and put their names on them. The kids then decorated rest of the cover with Disney stickers I had. Once they were decorated we covered them with clear contact paper.

Both albums fit nicely in a gallon size ziploc bag with the pens. This was nice since it rained alot while we were there.

Simply gorgeous book! I wasn't going to spend that much time making one, but NOW I think I just might have to. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for sharing! That's a beutiful book! Now I'm ready to get things started for my kids!!! princess:

mommy2twingles - I only make one autograph book for my DSs. The first couple of times we went to WDW I had made one for each, but it works better for us to only have one. One boy gets to take the book and the other the pen. It makes them both feel "needed" and it helped my DS4 get used to going up to the characters. My DS9 is ok with getting the autographs, but he's more interested in posing (funny poses) with the characters.

That is a beautiful autograph book!!! How do you put the autographs in your scrapbook? Just glue the cards into the book? And what size is your album? Thanks! I think I'll probably scraplift this idea!!!

We simply purchased the books available at Disney. We did buy one each for our two sons. I recommend one for each child. Some times my older son did not want a certain autograph as he felt he was too old for a specific character (little Einstein’s). Also there are times when there a multiple characters and your kids might have different priorities of who they want (at literally the same time). Hope this helps.

I have left open spots in the book for characters to sign, then with the extra autographs we get in the card stock books that I take, I plan to make oa 12 x 12 album for us as a family. I have had a great time making the books. We will be going for 9 nights and 8 days so I plan to take our time and see how many autographs we can get. For the most part we will only have to take the creative memories books that I made to character meals, and then only a few here or there. I can not wait to go.

Most of the characters signatures are rather large so I would not go too small the average books are about 4x6, but some of the new are larger with spaces for pictures.

They have several styles at the parks now - a small blue "classic" style with plain white pages, a gold Happiest Celebration book that is glittery gold, and has a spaces for photos adjacent to the autograph page, and a Princess one that is the same. Not being the crafty type these are what we use - DD has them all!
