So it looks like we are inching closer to this conference to Orlando, and inching closer to WDW...which means my Momma planning brain is wanting to take off! :lmao:

I have never made an autograph book before, so I am a newbie with this. At one time here on the DIS someone posted some autograph book pages that were printed, not paper pieced. (It basically looked like a digi scrappers version of an autograph book.) Was that here or over in the Creative DISigns area?

Any help would be wonderful! :goodvibes

I used these designs for my DD's 2010 books. http://s266.photobucket.com/albums/ii270/bxtx/Disney Autograph Pages/

I put them in word and made them 2 per page I think around 5x8 for dimensions. and of course went over kill 3 refills of ink. :scared1: But her designs are cute.

And they only got about 1/4 of the book done in the 7 days we were gone.

I made a cover from chipboard, and put their names on it, punched holes and used ribbon to hold it together.

Have fun!

Thanks! :goodvibes Do you think I would be able to send these out to be printed or would they be blocked because of copyright? :confused3

I've seen/heard of some that have had them printed and bound with no issues. They arent really copyrighted because I think they are made with free clip art. :confused3

its worth the try :)

In my mind, I am thinking of having them printed and mounting them on chipboard to make my own album. I like the idea of using the ribbons and just a little "paper scrap" flair. :goodvibes

That would save you the ink and the hassle. I like the ribbon way better than the book rings. although they had to be re-tied from time to time.

How big were yours when you printed them?

(You have got to love that when a trip is mentioned DH opens excel and starts looking for flights and park hours. While I get on the DIS and start searching for DIY autograph books, shirts, etc. :lmao:)

I think mine were about 5x8. I got 2 on a regular 8 1/2 x 11 page.

Haha in this house, i open excel and get on the dis. DBF says ok how much and when. :lmao:

I just did by own for DS. I found stuff I liked from DISboards (the designers) and put the pages into powerpoint to assemble my album. I printed as 5 x 7 pages. I had a 5.5 x 7.5 chipboard cover and back. I printed a cover and back for that (both sides) and then glued on and laminated. I spiral bound at home using my zutter.

I thought of making an autograph book for our last trip but went the Vinylmation Mickey route again. I'm surprised you don't see more people doing that in the park .. in fact I didn't see anyone else doing it.

I actually used something similar to these and I uploaded them to Shutterfly and printed 4 x 6 matte photos for less than 10 cents each. Way cheaper than trying to print them all at home.

I think I have decided to print the pages from the DISigners and take them to the park loose (in a ziplock bag in our backpack). Then when I get home I can make them into an 8x8 book for DS.
