Have you been to the creative board? They have some awesome stuff there to make yourself. I found a couple of people who made different designs for each character. I printed them out on 4x6 index cards from walmart. At the park, I kept them in alphabetical order in a large baggie with a big fat sharpie and small clipboard. When we were in line to meet a character, we'd pull out their card for them to autograph. I bought a photo album in the parks that said 2009. When we got home, I printed out pictures of each character and put them on the same page as the autograph. Each page was auto on top, pic on bottom. I took it to work and everyone LOVED it. It turned out so great and we look at it all the time! The characters get excited when they see their pictures too. Sorcerer Mickey even tried to steal my daughter away when he saw his picture. It was so cute!
I made a photo book from pictures from DS's previous trip. He got ridiculous amounts of character interaction. I started to feel sorry for the people in line behind us because each character was enthralled with his autograph book. I tried to hurry things along, but the characters, handlers and even those poor people behind us were crazy about the idea! Meeko at AK took the book and walked away from the handler!!
So, each character had his/her own page, and I made generic pages in the back for characters DS hadn't met. I already had books made for DS and DNiece for our September trip. DS loves to show off his book, and has taken it to show and tell a couple of times. Not only is it an autograph book, but it serves as a scrapbook of his character MnGs. Most photo sites have these and offer cheaper paper back versions, as well.
Here are a few characters perusing the book...Meeko loved the pic of Pocahontas, Alice pointed out all of her friends and Mary Poppins told DS how excited she was to be in the next book (since this was the first time he met her).
I purchased some personalized autograph books from an ebay seller. There are lots of different designs and characters to choose from and they come with a pen and a matching bag to carry the book and pen in. You can search Disney autograph books on ebay and check them out.
You can make some. I made some autograph books back in November for a friend of mine kids. It was thier first time to Disney. Well, they were so excited when I sent them thier books, they couldn't wait to use them.
Some pictures:
I had found the graphics online(photobucket), I think it was someone from the dis board who shared her graphics. I placed the pages like this inside so the character could sign by thier picture. I also made an index in the front so you know what pages the characters were on so they were easy to find while standing in line.
