Our family is leaving for our first Disney World Vacation in April 2007!!! My husband and I wanted to make our twin 4 year olds their own autograph books. I have one boy and one girl and they are very excited!!! I do not know where to even start. I guess I need a list of characters and instructions on how to make the pages/book. Please someone help me... I cannot wait to get started!!!

Well's here's what I did and what I would do differently...
First the good:
Buy album type books at the craft store- they sell 4x6 or 5x7 with paper pages and coiled bindings. Oh and they have a cardboard cover.

I didn't bother with photos inside the book ahead of time what I did do was have the characters sign on only one side of a page- then later I added the photo I took with my child to the facing page. So when you open it up you have autograph on one side and photo on the other.

I cut ribbon (different colors that matched my cover design) about 4 inches long and then tied them around the coil binding- more the better.. looked very cute!

THE BAD!
I did my covers in dimensional sticker- mickey, goofy, ect.. and added all kinds of scrapbooking embelishments...... But I didn't seal it! I didn't laminate it because I was afraid it would bubble- well it didn't bubble but slowly and surely the stickers came off piece by piece. They held up reasonably well through the trip but after- forget it as my kids looked through the books..... mess
Next time I think I will stick to a flat design on the cover-then laminate and then add those adorable mickey head bubble letters they sell at the craft store on top on it.
Good luck and have fun!

I bought blank books, like the ones the previous poster says... but I totally let my kids design them on their own. I bought Disney stickers and background papers and they went to town! I also didnt worry about knowing which characters we'd end up seeing and I'm glad I didnt, and here is the reason: You could end up spending your entire trip standing in line for autographs! I HAVE TO SAY this was DL not WDW, so maybe things are different there. We got the ones we got, and that's all there was to it... the kids were very happy and love the autograph books now.

Both ideas sound great!!! Thank you so much!!! I will have to work on those this weekend... I am so excited. :artist:
