Autograph Book & Character autograph

When I go down to DL next month, one of my dads colleagues asked me to get two DL autograph books for her daughters. They are both young girls (10, 8) and wanted to get the autograph books when they were at DL in September. They were very expensive when they were down there. I told her that I get a 20% discount off with my AP and they were excited. What kind of autograph book I should get, a regular DL autograph book, princess autograph book or a Holiday book if they have it?

This is a Christmas present from my dad to his colleagues daughters who wanted an autograph book during there trip. They were disappointed that they didn't get the books and asked me if I could pick up two books for them.

If there is a special holiday one that would be cool.
But it depends, do they like the princesses a lot? if so then that's the way to go.
But you're safe bet would be the regular one I am assuming.

They like princesses and it was their first time at DL and they were so excited. They were only there for one day and they used the GAD ticket and didn't enjoy the full experience at DL. They spent most of the time going on rides and barely spent enough time in the stores. When they left they saw a lot of kids have autograph books and want one so bad. But they didn't have time and little money to use.

One day is never enough time at DLR, I always feel kinda bad for people who can't fully experience it. DLR has so much to offer!

It would make them feel even better if I get them different character autographs. I haven't done autographs in a long time since I was a young kid. But I am going by myself next month and does it kind of feel strange that a young single adult is getting an autograph from the Disney characters?

NO! Think about how the girls will feel when they open the signed books Christmas morning. I think it will so be worth it, if you have time. Maybe if you have the money you could do a Character meal? I think the way you feel about getting the autographs will out weight the excitement the girls have when they open up the book. Good luck and have fun with it.

I would go with the princess book, the one that holds pictures next to the autographs. When you get the autographs, I would explain to the character that the book is for little girls who couldn't get one while they were there. You may get lucky and get some personal touches, like the pricesses addressing the girls in the autograph. Good luck

I would LOVE a holiday book, but I haven't seen one in the past few years..
My dd is 7 and her choice would definately be Princesses!

Like the person before said, just explain that these are gifts and they would probably be even more excited to sign the books with a special little message for the girls.

With everyone saying that I should just get in line and ask for an autograph. This would make the girls very happy for their Christmas present, but it would make me feel uncomfortable. I haven't done it in years and maybe I just need more encouragement for me to do this. Need some help.

We stood in line for Goofy yesterday and there was a group of about 10 older teenagers who all had autograph books! We even saw a younger adult couple with a book at the villans meet and greet!

I just returned from my trip. I spent 5 days there. The first 3 except for the Halloween party I did not do autographs. The last 2 days I spent a lot of my time getting autographs. I am in my 30's and the autographs were for me! I noticed the characters did not spend as much time with me as they did some of the younger kids but that was okay. I also did the Minnie n friends breakfast solo and had a lot of fun and got a lot of autographs there.

Option one would be to kindnap a buddy to take with you, maybe a girl buddy cause it's okay if we act goofy.

I get in line for Cinderella, Goofy, Donald, and the Evil Queen; I'm 33.

However, I'm thinking because you have AP you really enjoy Disneyland. Even though you're young and single, I'm willing to bet you know how to loosen up and get lost in the magic. Think of it this way, everyone is there to have a good time. Not many people judge (unless you cut or mow down some little boy to get Captin Hooks autograph), in fact most are so into what they're doing they won't really take notice of you. I think after the first couple of autographs you'll really get into it. A good way to ease into it would be a character breakfast (I'm thinking Minnie and Friends) during a MM day, then head to PFF before it gets crazy buzy.

This past Saturday my friend was getting tired around 10 so I stayed in the park alone till midnight. I got in line all by myself for pictures with Minnie, Pluto, and Mickey! I'm 22, no one looked at me weird. This nice lady happened to be behind me in line for both Mickey and Minnie and she took my photo for me. No one judges you at DLR for doing those kinds of things, it's kinda what your supposed to do there!

Maybe just focus on one autograph per book, maybe find out who their favorite character is and just have them sign the first page. That way you only have to worry about asking for an autograph twice.
If I was in DLR I would get the autographs for you, but sadly I don't think I will return until early next year

I tried to do this last year, I even asked the reservation guy on the phone if I would be allowed into the park for my CC breakfast before I requested the time. The guy on the phone said no problem, there will be a dedicatated gate for breakfasts. Turns out he was only half right. There is a dedicatied gate for Plaza breakfast . When I gave my name to the CM (they have a list) my name wasn't there. They asked if I had PS for Minnie and Friends, I said no it was for CC. They said I'ld have to wait till 8 when the park opened. I asked about my reservation I'ld that I'ld miss it, they brought out a manager and said that I'ld have to wait. CC did sit us when we arrived, but still aggrivating to be told one thing and expericance another.
