What do you like to have autographed besides the standard autograph books? In years past, I've made t-shirts specifically for signing. This trip, each of the kids got a new disney-themed backpack, and we'll have the back signed (got this idea from some fun ladies while waiting for the Frozen Sing-a-long last trip). If love to hear some other great alternatives to a book that will get shoved in a drawer and forgotten. Bring on the ideas!

Remember to note that characters won't sign anything that you are actually wearing (like a shirt) so if you would like them to sign a shirt, be sure to carry one for them to sign. Things like hats and back packs are easier to take off to be signed.

Every year we go we do a photo frame mat which then gets hung in our entryway. In our family autograph books would be lost and shoved under beds etc....this way the signatures and the memories stay hung in one place for everyone to see and remember. I have attached two photos, the first is from the first day of our trip and the second is alice holding the board for the white rabbit to sign.

Good to note! We've found that having the shirts on a needlepoint hoop works GREAT (would work for pillowcases too).

Last trip we had our kids pick out some postcards from the resort gift shop and they had the characters sign them. They were a nice change from their autograph books and very easy to carry around.

We scrapbook, so we have used index cards and put them in the scrapbook with the picture. We have done the picture frame, pillowcase and christmas ornaments.

Shirt, ball cap, matte for photo frame, canvas for wall hanging, pillowcase ornaments....the possibilities are endless. It really just depends on what you want to carry around with you.

I know you were looking at alternatives for books, but we used a Disney encyclopedia and had the characters sign their pages. The characters loved seeing themselves and made a huge deal out of it! (If the character didn't have a page ie green army man, we just got them to sign the inside coversdownload.jpg

Plain canvas tote bags, like you find at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Bring different colored sharpies for the characters to use. Fold the bag into fourths so there is a sturdy surface to sign. Makes an awesome tote bag/souvenir. My kids are doing this on our next trip. Search Pinterest to see examples. They're really cute!

Did this for the kids. Also had the bags personalized with their names. Also is handy for carrying things you buy in the parks.

Of course you wouldn't do this for many characters, but if you had one mega-favorite, I've seen photos of Rapunzel signing a small frying pan, Cinderella signing a dress-up shoe, Snow White with a plastic Apple, etc. I bet it leads to a really fun interaction as well as a fun keepsake. I'd display it on a wall or shelf back home beside a framed picture from the trip.

Instead of a traditional autograph book, I made one for my daughter this year. I made a page for any character I know will be out during regular hours, character meals and MNSSHP. The characters love seeing their pics and it gets great interactions!

We do the spiral bound index cards & clickable Sharpies-black & red are best; the greens & oranges are very light in color. We put the index cards in a small scrapbook with a picture of DD with the characters.

My kids received a storybook collection a while back- 1 thick book with lots of stories, even with characters that aren't so popular. So we brought that and had each character sign on a page of their story

My daughter bought white canvas shoes and plans to have them signed this trip
