Hi. We are planing yet another trip to Disneyland, but this time it will be our son's (4 years old) first time there. My husband and I have been there many times but have never been able to find the Autotopia. Does anyone know where that would be? Also, does anyone know if they would allow 4 year olds to "drive" the cars?

By the way this is an AWESOME site. Everyone seems very nice and friendly!

Autopia is at the back of Tomorrowland (by the train station). You can find the entrance on the left side next to Innoventions. Your 4yo should be allowed to drive as long as you or your husband is in the car with in.

The autopia is located next to the old submarine attraction in Tomorrowland near the Matterhorn and Club Buzz. You must be 52 inches to drive alone, but your son could drive with you if he can reach the pedal. It's been refurbished recently, so it's more fun that it was in the past.

If riding the autopia is a priority for you, you should ride early in the day or grab a Fastpass--the ride loads so slowly that there's almost always a long line.

My three year old ds LOVES the Autopias - it is his favorite ride at DL. He drives (well kinda) he sits behind the steering wheel. I push the gas pedal for him.
As Christa said the entrance to the Autopia is in the far end of Tomorrowland near the train station. A good ride to get fast passes I think as it makes the wait much shorter. On a recent trip to WDW I was bummed their version of the Autopia (Indy Speedway) did not have Fast Pass. My son insisted on going so I waited nearly one hour in line with him - he was so patient it was amazing.
I think that kids have to be fairly tall to be able to take a car out by themselves (like 50+ inches) but no problem going with someone else and "driving"
