Auto Rental...Price Jump

I have a minivan booked for August and we have just recently decided to go back again in December for another trip.
The prices at LM (between August and December rentals)have increased by about 35% by my calculation (all other rental companies have already increased their prices....LM still best MCO price).
Anyone know why all of the major companies are increasing their prices by such a ridiculous amount ?

Supply and demand and because they can. If no one books at the higher rate they can try dropping the rates.

I keep hoping for rates to drop for our December trip, too. Right now we have town car service booked. Even using a taxi to get back from dinner at another resort twice during our stay it is still cheaper doing this and using Disney transportation than renting a car for our stay.
