I know ,I know,I haven't posted here for a long time and now I'm lookin' for help!! I haven't posted because I've been pretty busy
with house repairs and dog training/shows. So,its been good things that have kept me away. Nothing negative! The house has a fresh coat of paint,a new roof and new rain gutters! All we need now is electric garage openers and we're done!!!! That's my question to you guys: Who has'm,what kind do you have, and how much $$$ should I expect to pay? Has anyone had them installed by Sears?

I paid about $220 for my garage door opener from Sears---installed...I got 2 remotes, the keypad for the outside I think for around $140 and they installed it for $80...

We just recently replaced our doors and operators for a total price of $2200. The operators alone would have been about $300 each; I'd pay up to get one that is belt-driven rather than chain-driven. The belts are much quieter and smoother. Obviously, the doors add the biggest expense. We got two steel doors with a R factor of 16; there were less expensive models which offered less insulation.

Good Luck,
