Auto lust - I want a Honda Element

A former co-worker has had one since they came out and says he loves it. It has been very reliable. Another co-worker bought one for his daughter. They love it. It may be funky looking, but so was the VW Beetle and a lot of people still love them. Jay

Saw one the other day with the cutest license plate on the front. It said Humette.

We just bought an Element last week. Needed something bigger for our trips to Florida...kids are getting bigger, while the back seat of my Camry is not. Took the children with us as we shopped for cars, and after test driving several vans and a Honda CRV, they were adamant that the Element gave them more room in the back seat than anything else we drove. They also liked the "stadium seating" (back seats are higher than front seats, so they can see over our heads.) We have a bunch of animals that need to be transported to the vet on occasion, and it's nice to know I can just wipe down or hose out the car if it gets too dirty. (Although I think the kids make more of a mess than the pets!) This vehicle was originally marketed to "twentysomethings", but two Honda dealers told us that it is the "fortysomethings" that are buying most of them. We bought a 2003 leftover, so we had no choice of color. Ours is green with black trim. The square shape of the car's body, along with the color, have already earned it a nickname. The kids call it "Herman" - as in Herman Munster! Anyway, we love it!

The Element will always remind me of my middle DS when we went shopping at the Mall last year. There was an Element there that he SO fell in love with! I wasn't real impressed but I loved his enthusiasm for it!!

Not the prettiest car in the world, but I can see how it would be very fucntional.

We looked at the Element but they only seat 4 so that ruled it out. Their SUT that's coming out looks fantastic!
