Auto Insurance Recommendations

Does anyone have an auto insurance company that they recommend? I currently have a policy with 21st Century who I've been very happy with. Given their parent company AIG's impending doom, however, I think it might be a good idea to find a new company lest I end up eating my recently paid premium.

We use AAA. I know that they don't offer insurance in all markets, but around here their rates and service are very good.

Thanks for the recommendation. AAA's always had a good reputation, quotes I've received from them in the past were pretty high, but that was when I was a young, single male. I'll see what they think of me as a married old guy with kids.

We have GEICO and have been very happy with them. I check rates every year and so far they've always been the best with AAA a close second.

You won't be eating any premium. Even if your company goes under you will still have coverage - it will be assumed by another company until your current policy were to expire.

We just took out a new policy with AARP/The Hartford. With homeowners, auto, and an umbrella policy we are saving approx. $600 this year! The Hartford is a higher rated comapny than our previous insurers, too!

We have Progressive and are very pleased with them.

We just took out a new policy with AARP/The Hartford. With homeowners, auto, and an umbrella policy we are saving approx. $600 this year! The Hartford is a higher rated comapny than our previous insurers, too!

We too switched to AARP/Hartford in February from American Family. We only switched our auto, the homeowners quote was higher than our current with less coverage mainly due to our earthquake coverage and premium replacement.

However, we saved a HUGE chunk on our auto policies, over $1400 a year with much better coverages.

AAA insurance is also under the AIG umbrella--just an FYI.

We have American Family and have been very happy with them.

The Hartford has lost about 98% value in their stocks this year-on paper they look highly rated but are they really??

USAA

have had them for years.

Whenever someone tries to pitch insurance to us, we tell them we have USAA. They cannot beat the prices.
