Anyone used Auto Europe or Carhire3000?

We are booked with usrentacar for our holiday next month but I need to change the car (we have paid the cancellation protection so changes/cancellations are free) with the 2 companies above it's around £20 cheaper than usrentacar plus I can use quidco for 7% / 8.5% cash back, which is a huge saving as the carhire is over £700.

Thanks

Sam

I have not used either but in same boat, booked with USrentacar for our 1st car in August(still to book 2nd)
Paid £422 for 14 days 7 seater minivan + £10 cancellation fee. They have now reduced to £409 but Carhire3000 are offering at £407 less 7% Quidco = £379.
I just cancelled USrentacar, going to rebook @ Carhire3000 £33(£43-£10) better off, plus it comes with free cancellation cover if a better deal comes up before August.

Thanks Wayne, think I will just book with them.

Did you call to cancel with usrentacar or email? we are due to make the full payment on friday.

Thanks

Sam

I logged into my account, clicked on amend booking and typed in there I wanted to cancel as I had paid the £10 fee which allowed me to. They sent an email the following day saying they would be refunding me £40 (£50-£10)

Just had a look but I cant see which car hire company they use for their minivans ........... looking to book from the 27th July - 13th August

You don't know the supplier until you have booked, it doesn't really matter with Orlando Airport as there all on site anyway.

We booked a minivan for May and it was Dollar. I got £49 cash back too via quid co.

I believe their cheapest minivan rates are with Dollar but can't be certain til you book. I prefer Dollar but don't mind who I get.

Hi Wayne,

Am I reading this correctly from the Carhire3000 T&C's ......... If I pay a deposit as I have with USRentacar and decide to cancel I'm charged a fee equal to the deposit?

"TravelJigsaw General Terms
Reservation amendments following issue of confirmation/invoice but prior to the commencement of the rental may be made free of charge. Reservations which are fully pre-paid at the time of booking may be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the commencement of the rental. Where a reservation originally secured with a deposit payment (Deposit Booking) is cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the pick up time then a cancellation fee equal to the deposit amount will be charged. All reservations cancelled within 48 hours of the commencement of the rental will incur a charge equal to 3 days rental or the deposit amount, whichever is the greater. This also applies to no shows in resort; including non-receipt of vehicle due to insufficient documentation. Traveljigsaw is unfortunately not able to refund any unused days or part days if the vehicle is returned early on any rental"

Was just about to change my booking over but as I dont use Quidco much if this is the case I may hold out a little longer.

I still had not read the T&C's but yes you look to have it right, if you pay deposit only and cancel you lose the deposit, if you pay all up upfront you can cancel upto 48 hours before collection free.
Makes no difference to me I will pay all upfront, price has just dropped again on mine by a few £, now £403 less Quidco = £375(was £379 yesterday)

Always chance of another deal, how much would you save by moving? might be worth waiting a bit.

Only £31 - £10 cancellation fee = £21 ............ although I do have a quidco account but its got a £1.24 balance as I never use it :rotfl2:

I would change but I would for £10 :rotfl2:
Just added up all the cashback I have had over the years £2,810:banana:

We have booked with carhire3000 too.

I similarly was hoping for Dollar. Paid in full and got confirmation notice of hire company ............. Dollar :woohoo::thumbsup2

Hi Wayne,

Did you book with this company in the end? I'm still toying with changing my booking from usrentacar and paying in full through Quidco.

Your mission for today ............ should you choose to accept it .......... is to find me a 7 seater mini-van or 7 Seater SUV from the 3.00 pm on the 27th July to 09.30 am on the 13th August for less than Carhire2000 :worship:

Cheers

Sharon

Will have a quick look for you but is it with extra drivers and tank of gas(Gold) or without?

Cant make my mind up about that one .......... we usually go with the extra drivers and tank of gas but in reality its usually only my husband that drives .... I'm scared stiff out there on the roads :scared1: Go with the extras but only if you have the time. Thank u xx

Looks cheapest deal around, next is Netflights same price but only 5% cashback and £50 cancellation fee.

I still have not booked, busy week, God daughter slept Wednesday night when I was going to do it, 3 year old in the house throws everything else out of the window.:goodvibes
Hopefully book this weekend.

Taken the plunge, cancelled usrentacar, booked carhire 3000, paid in full and ended up with the voucher that says ...................... DOLLAR :thumbsup2

We used Carhire3000 last year, everything went fine.

If you email your quote to yourself and then ring them with the reference they will tell you who the hire is with. If you do this and enter your phone number they will likely call you the next day anyway and you can ask them then.

Just one thing to note with quidco is that they only pay the first time you book with them, tried getting it again this year but it's been declined (didn't really matter as they were the cheapest quote without it anyway).
