August 2025 "It Was All Started by a Mouse" Exercise Challenge

I have 60 minutes to add for Wednesday. 20ish from a sort of walk outside with Charles (he was walking across and balancing on the parking stops at the church next door). 30 minutes on the exercise bike. And 10 minutes of bedtime yoga.

300/600

Going to drop this photo from our last MNSSHP as a not so subtle hint to a show that featured one of the very coolest Disney mice ever....
Don't worry, she's on the list! 😉

85 new minutes for me = 500/600, so I'm in the color changes today: PollyannaMom, along with Elizabeth Smith at purple, clappyclaps, ShannyMcB, sophy1996, and Alicatt all reaching red, and the TEAM landing at pink!
:ccat::figment: :car: :car: :car: :car: :ccat:

Collectively, we're at 6,899 minutes! :cheer2::cheer2: I bet we can hit 7,000 today!!

Sorry for the longer than usual gap - I don't remember now why I missed Friday's post, but here's a little more of the mice from Cinderella, since we can't skip this fabulous demonstration of teamwork:

And a little extra trivia from the Disney Wiki on the language abilities of Jaq and Gus:
Jaq is the fearless and quick-witted brains of the outfit, acting as the leader of the household mischief... Both Jaq and Gus have the ability to speak using a broken form of English called "Mouse Latin", and often distort words, most notably Cinderella's own name (which they mispronounce as "Cinderelly"), and Lucifer's name (which they mispronounce as "Lucifee").

170 minutes - horses and playing ball with the two kittens we have left from the family we fostered. They are awesome little athletes and it was a workout for me, too! We play a game where they try to keep me from throwing the balls into a box and they succeed a lot of the time by catching the balls midair. I only have about a week left with them since they'll be going with their mom to a new family after Labor Day, so I gave them an extra long play session today and plan to the rest of their stay. Our vet helped us find a home for them since the rescue shelter ended up not having space. The two other boys found really good homes about a month ago. I'm so, so glad these last two boys and their mom will get to all stay together!!!

2120/3000 (looks like I overshot my goal this month. Not sure I can catch up.)

45 new minutes for me = 545/600.

Color changes are myself (PollyannaMom), Raya, and Bonnie F,

and the team is at 7,414 minutes and 82% of goal! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Today's mouse is inventor and pilot Gadget Hackwrench, from Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers:

Her Disney Wiki Biography ~
Gadget was the daughter of Geegaw Hackwrench, a famous mouse inventor and pilot. It is implied at the time that her father had passed away, as she mentions in "To the Rescue" that he had gone missing over a year ago and there's been no word on his whereabouts. She first meets Chip and Dale courtesy of Monterey Jack, a friend of her father's, as the group is in search of an airplane. Gadget helps the group solve the crime they are investigating by lending her inventive talents. Afterward, having nowhere else to go and no other obligations, she then became an official member of the Rescue Rangers, making their base in a tree in the City Park and they promised to be her guardians and take care of her.

From that point, Gadget usually assists the team via her numerous inventions. In addition to building and maintaining the Ranger Plane, Gadget is the one responsible for the various technological items used by the team and is regularly inventing new vehicles and tools for the team's use. She has the uncanny ability to take discarded and unrelated items and invent nearly anything with them. Unfortunately, her creations don't always work the way she intends and have sometimes failed at just the wrong moment to cause the team trouble. Both Chip and Dale are very attracted to Gadget and can be found often vying for her attention.

Gadget is voiced by Teressa "Tress" MacNeille, whose also did several other Disney characters, including Daisy Duck, Anastasia Tremaine, and Merryweather.1756223888489.png

She is said to be inspired by Jordan Cochran from the movie Real Genius ~
(...who shows up a little over a minute into this clip.)
