I know that there is no das at hard ticket events. Is there designated handicap viewing areas for the parades and shows? What was your experience. Thinking one of the September Halloween parties when my autistic twins are seven but looking for an idea of what to expect.

I will be going to the halloween party this september I use a DAS card and the fact that you can not use it at the party has me a little concerned ok a lot I do not have high hopes for the party just going to try and not have a meltdown the whole time. i hope you get great tips but I heard they are not that crowed

. . . i hope you get great tips but I heard they are not that crowed

1) The Halloween and Christmas hard-ticket parties are mega-crowded.
2) They allow up to 20,000 in for each party.
3) Sometimes, it is shoulder-to-shoulder, especially on Main Street.

you do know disney dose not say how many tickets they sell for these event even thought I have never been I know some past and current cast member who have and they have all told me that it is a lot less crowded then when the park is open, yes probable during the fire works right by the castle will be crowded but I am pretty sure it will be nothing like normal park hours

No Disney does not publicly announce how many tickets they sell however Mr. Scupper is a CM and I have talked to a CM involved in the party ticket sales and without giving a "fact" they said they will sell between 20-30k tickets on a sold out night. I have been to many parties and for years go to two each year.

The park is less crowded than a full park day but by no means empty. It is crowded, much more the last few years than when I started going. Remember that many QS are closed and many folks don't want to waste time eating so that puts more out in the park. The least empty areas will be lines for rides other than ones like 7DMT but since no FP+ everyone will be in Standby. The parade routes fill up very fast because the parade is the biggest draw to the parties. Handicapped viewing for parades are small areas and really set up for wheelchairs. Due to demand it is usually one wheelchair with one guest, all others in party find spots elsewhere. Parade starts in Frontierland so for less crowding and shortest wait it is suggested to sit there. Fireworks area in front of castle will be very crowded. Lines to rare characters like 7 Dwarfs or Sally & Jack or Jack Sparrow can be hours long. Even candy lines may be long at the beginning of the night. Since most are there for the special things, those areas will be busy. If you are going for rides, this would be a good night to do them.

I never said it would not be crowded at all I just said it would not be as bad as normal park hours yes some thing I will not be able to do because of the line or crowed ( or any one with a DAS card) but I do not think every one could do every thing. all I can go on is what people ( 2 have been CM for over 30 years) have told me.

There is no special viewing spots for the castle show (it's all general viewing)

Yes the lines for many of the rides are shorter than a normal park day but the parades and fireworks are way more crowded than a normal park day because nearly everyone wants to see the special ones. If your kids want to be able to ride their favorite ride 10 times in a row with little wait the party is great but if you are trying to see the fireworks and parade with lower crowds nope. The handicapped viewing area to me was just as crowded plus the wheelchairs go in front. If your kids are sensitive to crowds and noise the best way to watch fireworks is plan a dinner at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian resort and then watch from the beach there. They pipe in the music and everything.
