Just got back from 2 trips to WDW, one in Dec and one in Jan. While there in Dec my DW and I stopped at Sid Cahuenga's One-of-a-Kind shop at MGM. What a great place it is. They have the BIG authentic movie posters from a lot a classic disney movies.

When I went back in Jan I just had to go back and see what they had for sale. Some of the posters are expensive and some are really cheap. They had an authentic Jungle book poster from its theatrical release for $100 and they had others for as low as $7.

I got a poster from the movie Small One for $10 and a poster from the true life adventure Vanishing Praire for $7. The only problem with the posters is that they are store the posters folded so their are creases. It bothered me a bit when I found that out but I didnt plan on selling them and they are just for me so I was not as concerned. Anyone else collect disney posters and artwork?

I don't collect Disney posters but I do have some. If you are interested in permanently displaying them, consider taking them to a quality framing shop and have them laminated onto foam poster board. The creases will be less obvious and once framed, the piece will be protected for years.

Hey! I actually love that shop myself. In summer of 2005 I bought a Fox and the Hound original and a Mickey's Christmas Carol orignal. I really wanted the Jungle Book poster, but that is too rich for me. In my collection I have an original Follow Me Boys poster as well as a Sleeping Beauty poster (got that one for my DGF). I also have a Black Cauldrin Poster. Outside of Disney I have an Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade original.

Thanks for the great idea flyinglizard. Smooshdog you are a guy after my own heart. I wish they had Fox and Hound (my favorite) and Mickeys Christmas carol (my wifes favorite) when I was there. Do you display yours? I have my whole office with framed posters all around!

BTW where in Miss / LA are you? Ponchatoula HERE!!!

Right now I'm in Jackson, MS in school.

I proudly display my posters! I had no plans to buy any posters when I walked into that store, but when I saw Fox and the Hound I had to have it, and then I saw Mickey's Christmas Carol and couldn't say no. Best thing was the price was right on both! 15 for fox and the hound and 10 for MCC! :woohoo: No way I could pass that up!

I've been trying to collect posters from the Disney DVD releases. They're not as nice as the real movie posters, but they can still look good when mounted on foam. One of our regional grocery stores has a video department and they sell the DVD posters for 50 cents. So far, I've gotten Monsters, Inc., Lilo & Stitch, The Shaggy Dog, Bambi II, Inspector Gadget 2, Holes (my favorite), and Invincible. Between my Disney plates, lithographs, and posters, I'm running out of wall space!

I don't do the plates, actually never heard of them, but I have a pretty large (for my standards) of Lithos and Posters. I even have (i am not sure why I bought these on ebay, i just did) some photos taken of Walt Disney at art show on the disney studios lot in LA
