Aussie Disneyland Planners come on in and lets plan together :)

As for us getting our own forum, maybe we could start asking specific questions in a new thread but put Aussie planners in the title eg: Aussie disneyland planners-duty free question OR something like that then the mods may be able to see how many different questions we have that are related to visitors coming from OZ.

That's a great idea Gogo65!
This thread is very long, which should indicate to them how much traffic is generated by Aussies/Kiwis but if they see lots of posts coming up on different subjects then they'll maybe realise that there is a real need for us to have our own "space" :)

Good info about TRS, my DH wants to get a new camera and with this it will make it just that little bit cheaper.

Just about to call Hojo :cool1:

Hope they're available all our dates

All booked, now just waiting on my Ent card in the mail....

i was only away for half a day and find i have to catch up on a couple pages, its great that us aussie/kiwis have so much to discuss, plan and sort..we have 15 days til we fly out, dh even counted the hours til we leave....

we are lucky that we leave christchurch at 5.30pm (the kids are going to school:rotfl:) we fly to auckland and leave auckland at 9.30pm, so we fly thru the night, its great for the kids. once they get over the initial excitement they usually go out like a light.

we are all on the serious count down now arent we???? we are all very excited.:woohoo:

We leave at 12:05pm so no school for my kids that day. Just crazy interupted last minute packing for us big people

Not really "Duty Free" anymore on these items - these days you can just claim back the GST.

Just remember the purchase has to be over $300 in one transaction . :)

Theres a useful link here http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=4366

So in a nutshell I have to spend over $300 get one docket take it to the airport and lodge the claim there , too easy !!

Thank you so much for this info- very helpful :goodvibes

Is anyone else doing the Fantasmic Desert seating?

I stuffed up our booking, I had the right day but wrong date, didn't realise until the following day. Set the alarm to ring them at some ungodly hour and the Disney guy was wonderful and transferred our booking without any dramas.
Now I just have to read up on how to stand in a queue, where etc. to get the front row seats. If anyone else is doing it after us, I will pass on any tricks that might help.

We are at Hojo October 16th to 25th. I am sure we will see Flea (whether or not we recognise you is another story :lmao: ), and could possibly see dave 73. I will just have to keep the accent radar on :cheer2:
