Aussie Disneyland Planners come on in and lets plan together :)

I was just having a look at some of the DL trip reports and came across this one. She has done the most comprehension TR, an amazing amount of photos that make you feel like you are there and on pages 17-18 and a few other's after that she gives a detailed list of the places she ate, prices of the meals and a review. Really great reading and again I was amazed at how many photos she shared. Worth checking out:-

I just wore a bum bag and looked uncool - actually I think looking dorky at DL is compulsory - heck, 80 percent of the adult visitors are wearing mouse ears for starters!!
Add in the family groups in matching t-shirts/hats and you soon realise no one is noticing your bum bag!!

Thanks for the trip report link it is a good one, cutting and pasting lots of good stuff.

I got the ears!! I went through a stage before our last trip where I wanted to have matching t-shirts for the three of us, DH's answer was "No %$#@^#! Way!!!" :rotfl2::rotfl2:

In all seriousness though, after going to the Easter Show (and I'm guessing Melbourne, Brisbane shows, etc) this year, I thought about what we wear, bags and stuff - what ever works bag wise at the Easter Show will work at DL.

You are welcome. Well I guess if you and DH think the bum bags are uncool I will just need to find another solution, hehe.

I kinda agree with a PP who said that you are sort of supposed to look uncool at DL :lmao:

That trip report link isn't working for me :(

Can you please let me know the name of the topic and what page to find it on. Thanks :)

I'm looking for a good bag too - I have a small kathmandu one that I got ages ago but I was in kathmandu again today (love that shop) and they have some nicer ones - a bit larger in size) on sale for $20 from $50 or $60 so I might see if I can convince myself to spend some of the savings and get one (since dh just bought me an ipod I'm trying to be good)

I still can't find it

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I went and did a search for her name but it didn't show any results for trip reports :S

I'll keep looking :D

I found these two trip reports on the inaugural flight for V Australia for Syd-Lax. Might make a few people a bit more excited to have a read and get an idea of the cabins, meals, check in etc. I hope it helps!

Thanks for sharing these G. I guess now when I book flights, I will consider Qantas and VA. It's good to have two good choices where you can look for the best price.

ROFL I'm so glad I'm not the only one.
In fact that gives me an idea for this time... perhaps I should just not ask and spring it on 'em all mwahahahaha!!!

I just could never get the nerve to do the matching tshirt thing. And now with the kids getting older, there is no way my DD11 would put one one, just no way. :sad2:

There is now way my DH, DS(16) or DD(14) would wear matching shirts:eek:

However my daughter insists on celebrating Xmas twice this year, because we fly out of Sydney on Xmas day at 9pm and arrive in LA at 4pm on Xmas day, so she believes she is entitled to 2 lots of presents. So maybe a litlle Disney magic pixiedust: may happen and as there extra surprise they could receive matching shirts:rotfl2:

LOL Yes. I suspect I could spring it on them but them actually wearing them would be a different matter LOL.

I keep telling my DH that we will all be wearing matching tshirts and he told me if that's the case he's cancelling the trip

Wow, I just finished that amazing trip report! Sooooooo many photos!! Loved her "food porn" :rotfl:

I have never in my life seen anything like the Monte Cristo!!!!! Turkey, Ham, Cheese sandwhich, deep fried, dusted with powderd sugar and served with a berry puree !!!! :scared1:
