AUSSIE JINGLE BELLS:)

Aussie Jingle Bells

Dash-ing through the bush in a rus-ty hol-den ute

Kick-ing up the dust Es-ky in the boot

Kel-pie by my side Sing-ing Christ-mas songs

sum-mer-time and I am in my sing-let shorts and thongs

Chorus

Jin-gle bells jin-gle bells jingle all the way

Christ-mas in Aus-tra-lia on a scor-ching sum-mer's day Oh!

Jin-gle bells jin-gle bells Christ-mas time is beaut

Oh what fun it is to ride in a rus-ty hol-den ute

Oh what fun it is to ride in a rusty Holden ute

Engine's getting hot we dodge the Kangaroos

The swaggie climbs aboard he is welcome too

All the family is there sitting by the pool

Christmas day in the Aussie way by the Bar-b-que Oh!

Oh what fun it is to ride in a rusty Holden ute

followed by a chorus of laughter: Ha ha ha

Come the afternoon grandpa has a doze

The kids and Uncle Bruce are swimming in their clothes

The time comes round to go we take a family snap

And pack the car and all shoot-through

Before the washing up Oh!

Sounds good to me Nutsy!

My nephew has been working in Australia for a few years now, He didn't make it home last year for Christmas but will be home this year. He must find it really weird going from one temperature extreme to the other. A couple of days ago it was -19ºC during the night here. Thankfully it has warmed up some and is only -2ºC today.

Our new minister of music and his wife are from Australia. It is so funny to hear his stories about a warm Christmas. He is freezing all the time. They had to go buy winter coats and a lot of sweaters. They keep their house so hot. He's great though, and is loving the new experiences. He marveled at Thanksgiving. We didn't think about it, but that's an American holiday, so they'd never experienced the turkey and trimmings. He thought it was much too close to Christmas, I agree.

Nutsy, enjoy summer for me, K?

Oh Baboo.......I had no idea it got quite that cold up in Canada...-19 is ccccccold...................

Hey all you guys...glad you've enjoyed our version of Jingle Bells. It is very warm here at Christmas & it would be a big adjustment going from here back to the States to the cold for Christmas........... but a pleasant change I would think.....:) :bounce: :Pinkbounc
