I don't know where to put this....so if it needs to be moved feel free

I wanted to check the price of Aulani for my next vacation in two years (doing Disney cruise in October). What gets me is that a standard room only sleeps 4 and I have a family of 5. So instead of $400/night, I would have to spend $1300!!! And the room has two queen beds AND a queen sofa sleeper. Why are they pricing larger families out? I thought they learned their lesson in WDW since they've been adding larger rooms to value hotels and such, but apparently not That's really sad.

You could try renting points.

The DVC board has a rent/trade board. I am unfamiliar with how it works, but the kind folks there should be able to help you out.

As for the family size, room size issue, I really do not know why they made the decisions they did for room sizes. (We have a family of 6--so while we do own DVC, we are limited in room choices. We have a little less than 2 years when we can only stay in 2BR.)

I'll have to see how much it would cost. I'm sure it's not cheap. I just don't understand why Disney makes themselves so family unfriendly.
