Aulani villa view question?

Wondering if the pool view villas have an ocean view as well? By looking at the layout, if you face the pool it seems you would be able to see the ocean as well. Thanks!

Only if you are above floor 4 or 5 will you get a view of the ocean because there are lots of trees that inhibit a view out to ocean. We always get an ocean view at or above floor 9 in the Ewe tower.

We just had 586 in ewa. Saw the ocean to the left. The problem with pool view is you don't have a view unless you get 5th floor so it's a big gamble.

Honestly Aulani is so close to the beach that saving your points is a better option. There are places you can sit or lay to see the view around the resort.

I went for pool. Couldn't justify the big difference in points for ocean view. If we make it back we might gamble on island view!

You should look at the pool view view pictures over on the Aulani Villas and Views thread. That will give you a good idea of how much of the ocean you can see from the 4 & 5th floor.

5th floor is the highest floor in the poolview category.

If you are view person, an ocean view is the way to go. But I would still ask to be facing the Waikohole Valley. That way you will also have a pool view and won't get one of the views that faces the J.W. Marriott next door. It often blocks most of the view.
