Aulani then cruise

We are staying at Aulani in December and then cruising after our stay. Aulani is providing transportaion to and from the airport for us. My question is this, what is the best way to get to the port from the airport? Have any of you been able to convince the shuttle driver to take you to the port after they make their stop at the airport? I've asked Disney and my TA, they have both told me that the drive is only allowed to take us to the airport.

I've looked at the bus map and can't tell if there is a stop at or near the port. Can we take the bus? Is the price of a cab reasonable? So many questions.....

I really don't have much helpful to provide. If Disney and your TA have stated the shuttle driver can only go to the airport, I'm sure he/she cannot stop by the port. They would probably lose their jobs if their employer found out. I personally would take a cab or Uber (if operating in HNL) over public transportation for the convenience. Hauling luggage and people while figuring out the bus system, worrying about the stop, trying to walk to the pier (at some ports the piers are not very accessible by walking) would be enough to stress me out on such a nice vacation.

Taking a cab or shuttle from the airport is pretty easy.

If you are going on the Pride of America they have bus service you can takef on the airport. You arrange it through them

Didn't know Aulani provides transportation. Was this a package deal for hotel+transportation? How/where did you get this?

Can you share more info on this? I really can't find jack squat on the NCL website! (Can't even find an actual list of which specific amenities come with our suite category...) We could use a transfer from the port to the airport to get our rental car when we get off the ship (unless the rental companies have shuttles from the port). Thanks!!

We just took a taxi from port to car rental place at the airport. (We did NCL first, then Aulani). There's plenty of taxi's waiting when you debark the ship.

I would also like to know more about transportation from airport to aulani.
Is this hotel? Dvc? That was included?
Any other stops?
I will be taking ncl cruise after my aulani stay also.... But in July so much more crowded;-)

Aulani is providing the transportation to and from the airport. It was actually a surprise to me. I called to make a change to my booking and they told me that they were going to give me free transportation I will probably take a cab from the airport to the pier. It seems to be the most direct option. Thanks all for your advice.

To clear things up a bit, Aulani does not provide complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport. There is a promotion going on for select dates in Fall and Winter offers where shared shuttle service through Speedi Shuttle is provided for free plus one day use of an Alamo rental car on select dates (picking up/returning car at Aulani) if you book a package reservation. Otherwise, you can add shuttle service to a package reservation for a rate currently $19.12/per person each way.

I've been told that you can book a shuttle from HNL to the port by calling Speedi Shuttle or take a taxi. I would recommend definitely booking transportation ahead of time. Glad you were able to get free shuttle offer on your reservation!
