Checked into Aulani yesterday evening... It is BEAUTIFUL!

I discovered that there is no dish soap, cleaning pad, or dish towel.
I called housekeeping, and they stated that they did not provide those.
Is this true?

We had the same problem, so I called the front desk and asked them to send some...took 2 phone calls, but someone finally did bring the dish soap and 2 dish towels - no sponge. I don't know how they expect us to wash our glasswear without supplies...especially when those supplies have always been provided in the studios.

I ended up getting some from house keeping as they were in the hallway. I guess it's Aulani policy not to provide in the studio, but you can ask for it.

I wish I had noticed prior to dirtying a bunch of dishes.

That makes absolutely no sense, if the resort gives you coffee cups and glasses (maybe wine glasses), you need dish soap to clean them between uses. It's not like the housekeeping is coming in daily to replace the dirty items.

This policy really needs to be changed because all DVC resorts should be the same. If I a reserve a studio in Florida, California, South Carolina or Hawaii items in the kitchenette should be the same.

Oh, I did!
It was funny, when I asked for the soap, they said they could just bring up clean cups or whatever we needed.
Unfortunately, I needed to also clean my little knife, cutting board, and gladware after I cut up veggies...including onions.

Our studio didn't have those items, either, but when I called down to housekeeping to get some, they were surprised they weren't in the room already. Very apologetic, they sent up 3 sponges, 2 bottles of dish detergent, and 3 dish towels. Overkill, but at least we had enough.
