Unfortunately, First Am is the only title company to use in Hawaii if you want title insurance (on a resale contract you definitely do). Ask for Julie LaCagnina, she will help lessen the headache of dealing with them.
We've used First American for a few of our Aulani resale contracts. They get the job done, communication is a bit lacking, but mostly the timeline is definitely longer than a WDW property contract. Between the title company, Disney, and the government/deed recording, they all seem to operate on island time
We used Hayes with our first contract and everything went fine. We are using First American this go around and it hasn't been quite as smooth, but I think that is because of the listing agent (Vacatia) and not First American.
