Almost vacation time!! Talking with the kids today, and I thought of a question. From my understanding, there are no saving chairs. Where do we put our belongings if we all want to enjoy the water? I'm looking forward to taking a few trips down the lazy river. 8)

You can certainly place a towel and your items on a beach chair or two... or more, and then go enjoy the water features and pools.

I think what you are thinking of is that if CM's see's chairs with towels on them but with no people for hours and hours, then they will pull the towels off and open those chairs to others. If you are coming back and forth to use your chairs on a regular basis they are not going to pull your towels.

Hope that helps!

Yes, it does. Thank you. I plan on tanning most of the time. Minimal time in the water.

If the CMs see a shirt or a pair of flip flops on the chair, they're not going to move them. We were there in Oct. 2012 and never had a problem leaving our stuff on a few chairs.

My wife and I will be there Apr. 17 for our honeymoon, so we will just miss you guys. Have a great time!

Perfect!! That's exactly what I was wondering. We will miss each other by a day!! We check out on the 16th. Have a wonderful Disneymoon.

And I'm missing you by a day! I'm leaving 12th. Too bad, otherwise I'm sure we'll have leftovers we can give to you.

The chair saving policy refers to towels only. The castmembers will remove towels from chairs every 15 minutes if no one has claimed it in that time.

Let me clarify the policy for anyone who is concerned or has questions. The 1 hour chair policy for the Aulani pool is that any items left unattended may be pulled after 1 hour and brought to lost and found, for the safety and security of any items that are left behind. This also allows chairs to be freed up for the guests who plan to use them. Having said that, this is not a guarantee to happen. We cannot always get to every chair, as we have very few CM's for the amount of chairs we have. For me personally I like to clean up towels that are left behind on chairs almost immediately after I spot them, unless there are plenty of chairs to go around. There are days when we have no chairs available and cleaning up those towels will allow more people to enjoy the pool area. There are other CM's who follow 1 hour chair policy on those towels as well. It's not always consistent. To sum it up, if you plan to use the pool or lazy river or slides and are coming back to your chairs, just make sure you leave your shoes, clothes, a book, anything to let us know you are still using it. We want to be fair to all of our guests! :o)

You and the other Aulani CM's were wonderful during our stay last December. Thank you!
