We are entertaining the idea of traveling to Aulani next January but have been unable to find any layout of the facility. We have recently been requested a first floor room while staying at the DVC locations and are wondering how much “green space” is given the first floor pool view room patio. Is there a walkway at the end of the patio or is there a green space between the patio and any walkway and if so, how much?

I am not sure what this means. Did you make a reservation?

Some of the first floor rooms are much less desirable like the ones right next to the restaurant but those aren
t near the pool. I think most if not all have a concrete walkway right in front of the patio so you may be watching people walk by a lot. I honestly can't remember any foliage in front of the rooms. You may be seeing pool chairs rather then the actual pool.

There were shrubs and plantings and grass between the walkways and the patios. We could see right into the 1st floor pool view rooms, so you won't have a whole lot of privacy.

I agree with Gina, your view isn't going to be of the pool, it will be of chairs, bridges, walkways, etc. on the first floor.

There space between patio and walking path is about 15 feet'sh - largley large flat stepping rocks, small lava garden rocks and smaller plants. Not much privacy but great access to beautiful inner pool, garden and lazy river area.

When we stay at the Beach Club Villas we get the first floor woods view and have found it to be very nice when sitting on the “slab” having a drink or lunch. I thought perhaps the same would be true when getting a pool view with all of the foliage shown in what pictures I’ve seen. Do you have any suggestions for someone who just relaxes out of the sun reading and taking in the activity much of the vacation. If the first floor isn’t that private, any suggestions?
