Our family is considering a visit to Aulani next Spring. Is it even possible to get a reservation there in the 7mo window?

Also, it is likely we will not have enough points for the whole stay.

I called Member Services to ask if cash rooms would be available and was rudely told that Disney would not be renting any villas for cash.

Has anyone else looked into this? Is this really true?

Any information on this would be helpful.

I haven't heard of anybody to NOT be able to get a reservation yet. You and I might be the first.

We are waiting for our 7 month window to open next month for a stay in April.

Any time I call MS for other reservations I've asked them to check availability for seven months and every thing has been pretty much available so far.

Aulani may be on a temporary hold due to a sales problem. All sales have been stooped and some contracts canceled. I'm sure that Disney will provide additional information soon.

Right now, I don't think you should have a problem. People asked the same question about VGC when it opened. Many folks have had success at 7 months there. Although, there has been talk getting certain rooms at 7 months might be difficult...OV and SV, the best view and the least points.

Now I can understand the villas not being available for cash for now. There's only a limited number of units available and Aulani might be able to set a different set of procedures for these units than what happens at WDW.

I made reservations 2 weeks ago for mid November We were looking at 5 nights and were able to get 4 nights in an island view 1br and 1 night in an island view studio. We don't have a ton of points so I had wanted to get a standard view 1 br for all 5 nights but it was not available (I am on a wait list).

We've been able to get in all 3 times we wanted...Labor Day, Columbus Day and the week of the Pro Bowl. (they generally practice at Ko'olina/stay out there) We own at SSR and BLT. (but live on O'ahu)

I called today and asked about March, my 7-months window; studios in all views are available for 1 wk. so, i think 7-months shouldn't be a problem. I'm waiting for this Sunday to call in and reserve for 4 nights.

Anyone looked into paying cash for some nights?
