Any suggestions for activities on Ouha to do with parents in their early 70's. Also, we are thinking of a one day excursion to see the volcanos on the big island. We will probably be there a week??? Someone had said the Aulani is too far away from all the activities, is this correct? Any help or suggestions would be great. We are shooting for June or July of 2016. Thanks!

My parents were 70 when we went. We did a number of activities. Some were a drive but the island is not that big.
We did:
- diamond head
- Pearl Harbor
- dole pineapple plantation
- luau
- north shore

Should have done the Polynesian cultural center, but did not. There is plenty to do.

Oahu is not a big island, but the traffic can be a nightmare. Just be sure to travel outside of rush hour and you will be fine. We have stayed in the Ko Olina area, not Aulani though, and loved it.

JWG hit most of the highlights but I'll add some more.

- Matsumoto's for shave ice in Haleiwa (North Shore)
- Polynesian Cultural Center
- Aloha Stadium Flea Market - Sunday and Wednesday's I think. This is right near Pearl Harbor so it would be good to combine into one trip
- Climb Diamond Head, a lot of stairs so it would depend on your parents.
- Check out Waikiki

Most people wouldn't recommend island hopping with such a short stay but that is up to you. The Oahu Forum on TripAdvisor is a really good resource.
