We were at DLR and DTD this morning . . . and my daughter (21 months) actually ran over to a DVC kiosk and held on to a DVC podium for dear life (the ones with the brochures on them). I have no idea why (may be she wanted to add on :lmao:).

The DVC guide informed us that the Aulani models at the DVC Sales Center at DLR were just completed and are now open. :)

He also handed her some stickers and helped us pry her off the podium. We were on our way out today and did not have time to stop for a tour. Just FYI for anyone that's going to visiting DLR soon.

Thanks lilpooh108. We'll just have to check that out in a few weeks.

Would love to see them.. Do you know where at DLR? Only two weeks until we go!

The DVC sales center at DLR is next to Paradise Pier Hotel. There are also DVC kiosks in DTD on the walk to DL and DCA. I'm sure the guides posted at the kiosks will walk you there for the tour (they walk with you to Paradise Pier Hotel, check you into the sales center, etc).

Sweet...thanks! How exciting! :yay:

Thanks so much for letting us know this! We will have to make time to see them when we're there in May. Anybody know if there are "open house" hours for existing members just to look at the models? We are definitely NOT ready to add-on at this time, but you never know when the addonitis pirate might strike. pirate:

Our guide told us last year to simply ask the front desk person for keys to the model if you just wanted to do an "on your own" tour of the models without the sales pitch. My guide is really hands-off though, and we actually dislike that aspect. SO YMMV.

Oh how exciting! Can't wait to see them the next time I get out there. Hopefully that'll be in a couple of months depending on how some work trips pan out...

stopher, your pictures of VWL are great. If you end up going would you mind posting pictures? We're going to try to tour the Aulani model in a few weeks, but not sure yet . . .I sure wish we had time that day at DLR.

Has the center moved? When we were there in May 2009 and wanted to see the VGC models, I thought the center was near DLH. Or, my memory could be failing me. :goodvibes

We weren't planning on adding on at that point, but we wanted to see what the rooms looked like. Three months later we added on at VGC. Maybe I should learn from history and not visit the models. :lmao: Still, curiosity may win this battle.

The sales center is right next to one of the DLH towers - on the Paradise Pier hotel side. And the models are in a building right next to that.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I guess my mental map is boggled. When I read the previous post, I kept picturing the center actually across the street at the PP hotel now. I neeed to consult a map!!
