We are headed to Oahu for a week (1 night in Honolulu and 6 nights at Aulani). My daughter is turning 11 while we are there. We have decided not to tell her until the actual day we leave - which we have never done before. We have told her that she should wait until the week after her birthday to have a party because her school has 3 days off that week (for conferences), and we told her we weren't sure if other kids would be able to make it - she seemed to buy it. I've got reservations for the Character Breakfast and Ama Ama on her actual birthday. Is there any activity at Aunty's that is a "not miss"? Also, has anyone been to the Halloween parties that they are throwing up until Halloween (we won't be there on Halloween itself, but it sounds like they have one every Saturday). Do kids (or adults) dress up in costume? And what are the parties like - do we need to book early?
