Aulani excusions?

Has anyone done the excursions at Aulani?
I was debating between the museum one and the Waimea Falls one but they are a bit pricy. This will be our first trip to Hawaii and I want to do it right so I am willing to pay the prices but don't want to waste money if they are just as good on our own. Thoughts?

Been to both Waimea Falls and the various museums in Honolulu, and they are fine on your own. Save your $$.

On the cruise I like the idea of booking excursions through DCL for the comfort of the ship not leaving without you should your excursions run late, but for Oahu excursions you should be fine booking them on your own.
