Aulani dining reservations

Hello,

I was wondering how necessary dining reservations are for breakfast and/or dinner at the restaurants at Aulani in April. Can we do walk up or get same day reservations, or should I plan ahead ? Thanks!

I would recommend you make reservations if you want to eat at any of the table service restaurants at Aulani. When I went last summer, I made my breakfast and dinner reservations about two months ahead. I didn't have any trouble getting breakfast ressies, but could only get an 8:00pm dinner seating at that time. I don't eat that late. When I got to Aulani, I asked during my breakfast reservation if I could get earlier dinner seatings and they let me. Although you may not be required to make a reservation, you will probably have to wait for a table if you do walk up. The restaurants aren't as large as the ones at WDW.
