I was wondering if anyone has flown to Hawaii (Aulani) from the USA? We are looking at the Hawaiian Airlines non-stop flight from Boston to Honolulu. This is the closest non-stop flight to us.

We usually drive across the border and fly to Florida from a US airport. (to save $). I was curious if it is similar when flying to Hawaii or if there are any additional requirements when landing in Hawaii.

*I am wondering about any additional requirements that are not related to COVID-19 as we will not be travelling during the pandemic.

Thank you!!

Our family has done this multiple times, but out of Buffalo. Or we do a Disneyland/Hawaii combo trip so we fly to Hawaii from California.
Over the last 8-10 years it has been less expensive to fly directly from Toronto though.
There have never been additional requirements

Flying from Ottawa,I've either went ott-wash-honolulu or ott-chicago-honolulu,with united.for us it was always the fastest and cheapest, arriving there between 2 and 3 pm.we usually stay at Ko Olina Beach villas, right next to aulani.

We went to Hawaii in early 2019. We live closer to Buffalo than Toronto but found that the U.S. flights were more expensive so we flew WestJet.

We USE to fly out of Seattle, Washington as we live near Vancouver, but more recently its been cheaper to just fly right out of Vancouver with WestJet.

We did fly one year out of Buffalo (to LA) and did a combo Disneyland / Hawaiian cruise (on NCL) flying to Honolulu out of LAX. In 2019 we were hoping to do another combo trip but it was much cheaper to just fly out of Toronto to Honolulu on Westjet. We got our Disney fix with some time at Aulani but mostly stayed in a rental on the North Shore of Oahu..

We have flown multiple times Toronto to HNL. Its always way cheaper from Toronto then from the USA for some reason. We generally fly United because they often have cheap first class tickets to HNL from Toronto ($1500 Canadian round trip most of which is covered by RBC Avion points for us. And it includes baggage so its not that much more than flying economy if you book with points since the max ticket price is $1100 and you have the pay tax regardless which isn't much more for a first class ticket then coach)
