How close are Aulani and the Marriott Ko Olina vacation club property? We are thinking of booking a trip to Aulani for the same week that my sister and her family will be at the Marriott. Will we be able to easily go back and forth from the hotels or have them meet up with us at the pools or beach? Thanks.

There is probably a half mile + distance between the two. Marriott's Ko Olina VC is two lagoons down from Aulani. You could certainly meet up at the beaches, but I imagine the pools are for guests staying at the hotel only. At least with Aulani, you have to show your room key in order to get a wristband to use the pools and slides.

There are 2 Marriotts on the Ko Olina Resort area property, one is right next door to Aulani- the JW Marriott Ihilani, the other, The Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club, is about a 5 minute walk along the beachwalk sidewalks that go in between the individual resorts.

Here is a link to to the resort map to help you visualise:

IIRC there is a "Ko Olina Resort" shuttle that takes you around. I think it stops between both resorts.

Only registered guests gets a wristband for the day. When a guest shows a valid room key, CM checks names off on the computer. There is still a lot of fun your family can have on the beach though. Have a fun family vacation.

Pools at Aulani are for Aulani guests only and you must show wrist band. We ate at Chucks Steakhouse on the grounds of KoAlina, but it was in the evening. Lovely resort too! Don't know about pool rules at Ko Alina in regard to guests, wristbands, etc...

There is a lovely public beach in between both resorts that we noticed!:cool1:

ENJOY YOUR TRIP!:thumbsup2

The pools are for guests plus Ko Olina owners who are granted day use privileges.
