Here's a stitched panoram of the view from the balcony of room 1558 at Aulani.

People can complain all they want about the # of points, them messing up the dues calculation, blah, blah blah.

But I'm telling you this view was worth it. 1 week at the resort and my family is in love.

The resort was beautiful. The room was great. Got to meet Joe Rhode (wonderful fellow). Got to meet the VP of Aulani (can't remember his name, great guy). Got to watch them rehearse the grand opening celebration 3 times (had to leave the day before the actual event). Cast members were phenomenal. Just amazing all the way around.

Absolutely stunning! We will be there December 3-10. Can't wait to see this in person. Thank you for sharing :goodvibes

Thanks for the picture!
We will be OV in Dec and April....can't wait!:cool1:

Great Pic, thanks for sharing. This just makes me realize that I need to put this place on my bucket list....

Thanks for posting your photo!! It sounds like you had a great trip!

FYI - Good thing DVC Members aren't assigned villas based on what Unit they own. Villa #1558 is part of Unit 28H. Unit 12F is down on the 6th floor and are Standard View villas #651, #653/655, and 657/659.

Did you do any excursions to other parts of Oahu, or did you mostly stay around the resort?

OMG I really want to go! That view is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. Do you plan to post more photos? Or do a trip report. Please. :flower3:

We did not go on any of the Disney excursions. I went down to Pearl Harbor one day (totally worth it). We all went down to Waikiki one morning (unless you want to shop, the beach in Ko'Olina is nicer). We had a rental car so we drove completely around the island one day - stopping by some local beach towns or touristy spots along the way.

As a side note - and something I have not seen reported. Disney realized that their original food prices were a bit high. All the restaurants and such were posting lower prices on day 3 of our 1 week stay.

I'll post some other pics.

Thanks for the beautiful picture!! We are heading to Aulani in a little over two weeks. I can't wait!! Please post more pictures when you get a chance.:worship:

Thanks for posting. I know that I'm rethinking my original idea that I don't need to go to Aulani. I've mentioned to DH that we should take another look at our planned trips, because I want to plan to go to Hawaii and stay in Aulani!:goodvibes

Beautiful. I wish it wasn't so high up though. I'd rather see just the ocean instead of the rest of the building.

In the other tower the Ocean Views will be starting on the sixth floor. That phase isn't open yet though, but it opens November 15, 2011.

This is a view looking back at the hotel. I was standing right near the multi-tiered infinity hot tub (that overlooked the ocean and a gorgeous sunset each night).

Sorry for the color shift. Not much time to edit photos out, but wanted to get something out today.

If only time would move faster, I could see this in person. I wish April would hurry up and get here!
